In 1966, a group of pilots formed GAW Flying Club, Inc. in order to realize a dream: owning an airplane. Since then, the GAW Flying Club, Inc. continues to make that dream a reality for its members, giving each the ability to "get away!"
GAW (Get Away for a Weekend) Flying Club is a non-profit, member-owned organization dedicated to making general aviation accessible and affordable. We offer a well-maintained aircraft, an exciting home airport, and a safe, supportive environment for experienced pilots.
Our home airport, Chicago's Midway Airport, is ranked among the top 30th in the country for air traffic. You will work with Control Tower, Approach Control, Ground Control, and Clearance Delivery.
